Why do people breathe through the mouth?

There can be several factors for one who breaths through the mouth – mostly allergies, asthma, habits and sometimes an obstruction in the nose. It’s best to find the problem in young children so that the problem can be fixed. If a child goes undiagnosed it will not only affect the way there mouth develops but also there performance in school and attitudes.

Mood affected by how you breathe

How does breathing affect my mood?

We are all designed to breathe through our nose. When we breathe through the nose we produce nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is produced when the air goes through the paranasal sinus. In return it helps bring oxygen to the blood throughout entire body and relax muscles. This allows for restful sleep, feeling refreshed in the morning, better attitude and most importantly overall healthier!
