Studies have shown links between Hashimoto’s disease and low vitamin D levels. Hashimoto’s disease effects the thyroid and leads to decrease in hormone production. The effects this disease can have on the body are fatigue, constipation, joint pain, weight gain and slow heart rate to name a few.

Research has shown that most people with a thyroid disease have low Vitamin D levels. It is very easy to find out your levels with a simple blood test either by your primary care physician or we have a test that is available right in our office.
